Sites visited on the internet are stored in a temporary folder. If your browser is Internet Explorer these files can be cleared by going to tools / internet options / general then clicking on delete cookies and delete files and clear history.

If your browser is Netscape you will need to go to edit menu / preferences then click on navigator and choose clear history. Then click advanced and select cache now click on clear disk cache.

Although the above steps may remove any trace of sites you have visited, many browsers have other ways of storing visited sites but only very advance users will be able to view this information. If you feel you may still be at risk then use a computer in a library, at a friends or at work.
